Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Last nights Special Elections didnt go quite as mainstream media planned. It was suppose to be the turning point of politics in the America. Polls again showed that Democrats would win.

But wupti-effing-doo! What the hell...the narrative push did fail again and Republican party won...again.

CNN (=FNN) was heiling this to be all about Trump this election. But when the results were in...naturally it suddenly wasnt.

Dems are like Kopites, they just keep giving it.
Be-au-ti-ful.

But aren't you Finnish? Living in Finland? Or you live in the US? If you are in Finland why does it bother you so much? Getting all excited about getting one over on liberals. Which is odd i have always considered Finland to be very liberal and progressive.

No liberal fake news poll as you call it predicted a win for Ossoff. They predicted a closer run than the republican made out it would be. A couple off polls did say he could scrape a win if they could swing the moderate voters.

Trump walked away would that region and Ossoff nearly took it away from 6 other candidates only to be pipped in the runoff all because he didn't get 51% the first time around

Down playing the results, eh? MSM was pushing different narrative but naturally after the results ...different story ;)

They won but lost popularity... just like the conservatives in the UK a few weeks ago.

Did you also think Theressa May did a stand up job ? lol

He's the worst person in US politics. Even worse than DT. If he were to suddenly die I would celebrate.

A bit harsh... but that's where we are these days... Trump is awful... McConnell is terrible too... but to pick him out of a lineup that once included or still includes Graham, Reid, Boxer, Slaughter, King, Feinstein, Pelosi, Kennedy (RIP because I don't wish death on people), is just ignorance of how the institutions work.

Should I throw Byrd in their? The list can go on and on... To say he is hijacking democracy and solely writing a bill is ludicrous.

It's not that ridiculous to be honest. The way they've gone about the bill (which not only affects people's lives but accounts for one sixth of the US economy) is absolutely disgusting.

They complained about the ACA being done "in secret" despite record setting mark up sessions and senate debates, and they're pushing this through without debate, without Democratic input, and with (likely) only a couple of days (if that) for people to read it before voting.

I think that by-election or whatever the Yanks call it is a clear illustration as to why democracy in the US is so bad.

Cap election funding you utter beffs. $50m. Crikey.

Your suggestion would have violated the first amendment rights of patriotic Democrats throughout the USA. Yet, despite the figures cited above, Handel won. I blame the Russians. After all, Stalin was from Georgia, you know. (taps nose)

Ironically, Ossoff received nearly 9x more donations from California than from Georgia, a testament to how this special election has morphed into a national contest for Democrats.

Between March 29 and May 31, Ossoff reported receiving 7,218 donations from California, dwarfing the 808 donations he received from Georgia. In the nine Bay Area counties alone, he received 3,063 donations in the same time period.

Those are only a fraction of Ossoff’s total donations, as he doesn’t have to report contributions from people who give less than $200 in total. In addition, many of the individual donations include the same people giving to his campaign multiple times.

Couldn't give a monkies as to who the parties were, to spend so much money on something as meaningless as this shows that democracy in the US is suffering from some sort of cancer.

Jesus Christ on a bicycle.

Just looked at the poverty statistics for the state of Georgia...

  • Out of a population of 9,943,145, there are 1,694,988 people in poverty.
  • 24.8% of children are in poverty-stricken households.
  • 17% of working age women are in poverty.
  • Only 72.5% of children "graduate" from high school.
  • 28.7% of the population don't have access to health insurance.
And yet they squander $50m on a meaningless election.

Celebrating what exactly? The entire point of politics is to bring useful social change, it's not about scoring points on Twitter.

It wouldn't have been so meaningless if it had come out the other way. I agree the amount of money is ridiculous, but that's the price of democracy in the USA in 2017. Yes, it could be better spent on a list of things so long that it cannot be contained here.

It's not meaningless now either, but for the Republicans to be claiming it as a massive success is hilarious. They had their margin cut from 20+ to <4 in just 5 months of Trump's Presidency.

It bodes poorly for them for 2018, just not as catastrophically bad as if they'd actually lost.

This whole "winning" thing is what bothers me the most. You can tell Trump is always on Twitter just because he uses that word a lot. The very fact he wants to win and be successful at every little thing is mental. The chap needs to focus.

He and they are obsessed with "winning". Someone should tell him and the party he associates with that running a country is not about winning.

Yes technically you win an election but you now have the responsibility to look after everyone not just the people that made you a winner.

The fact they don't see that and the fact they take shots at liberals every chance they get is scary. He and they forget it's about making good policies and laying the groundwork for better things for everyone and not simply "winning" because you took something from the opposition.
