Painful, but true. I read the political sites, this thread, and the major papers this morning for the first time in ages. Sounds like Trump's on the brink of leaving! What if he doesn't go? Since he's directly linked by so many to the events in Portland and other places, how will we be able to contain the violence? America is in crisis, and my Cubs are in a tailspin. You can learn a lot by reading.
What do you mean by events in Portland mate? And if America is in crisis then surely that should be a separate thread shouldn't it? This sounds quite serious like.
No need for a dedicated thread. Every American non-football problem comes under the heading of the Trump thread. A madman in Portland stabbed people who were trying to defend some Muslims on public transit. The papers said he was some alt-right guy or something. Since Trump's been elected the climate of hate in this country is astonishing, according to most readily available sources.
