Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Not so sure...

The Dems ran a dubious candidate, and had their best showing in 17 years. And a large share of the voting took place before the assault on the reporter, through early balloting.

Republicans were scared enough of the outcome to have flooded the race with last-minute panic spending, about four times more than the Democrats spent.

The Democrats are looking competitive in areas that have been unthinkable for years. It's still too early to say, but apart from taking away voters' health care, or access to food, I'm not sure Donald has many plans in the pipeline to secure their loyalties.

You sound optimistic. That may be a mistake. Just because the GOP won this race, don't assume this means I'm happy about this. Assaulting anyone, even reporters, should not help you get elected. This gets worse before it gets better. This is how identity politics plays out in Montana.

Just reporting here the way it looks from another perspective. I'm what Trumpsters call "an out of touch Buckley conservative" or a "egghead free-trader libertarian." I'm a bit gobsmacked the guy won after that. Keep pushing harder (like the guy who got body slammed) against the folks who are the wind beneath Trump's wings, and you get more Trump. That's not what you want.

Honey. Vinegar. Bees.

The Georgia special election is going to be an interesting result, Ossoff seems a stronger candidate than Quist from what I've read.

It's not like the Guardian journo was way out of line or pushing hard...
What you're saying is 'hold them accountable and they get stronger' but if you don't hold them accountable, they also get stronger.
The only way to stop this is for reasonable conservatives like yourself to voice the strongest opposition.
I believe you can do this without compromising your political and moral beliefs.

Watching STV news
Obama playing at Andrews
Mobbed like a film star
Somehow can't see that happening after the current leader steps down
Maybe so but it's not like half the clowns mobbing him are doing so for his policy's or anything else he did during his time in government. Its sad and pathetic but most people who pander and crawl to ANY politician are generally clueless about politics.

Err, this seems very odd if true

Jared Kushner and Russia’s ambassador to Washington discussed the possibility of setting up a secret and secure communications channel between Trump’s transition team and the Kremlin, using Russian diplomatic facilities in an apparent move to shield their pre-inauguration discussions from monitoring, according to U.S. officials briefed on intelligence reports.

Ambassador Sergei Kislyak reported to his superiors in Moscow that Kushner, son-in-law and confidant to then-President-elect Trump, made the proposal during a meeting on Dec. 1 or 2 at Trump Tower, according to intercepts of Russian communications that were reviewed by U.S. officials. Kislyak said Kushner suggested using Russian diplomatic facilities in the United States for the communications.

The meeting also was attended by Michael Flynn, Trump’s first national security adviser.

The White House disclosed the fact of the meeting only in March, playing down its significance. But people familiar with the matter say the FBI now considers the encounter, as well as another meeting Kushner had with a Russian banker, to be of investigative interest.
Kislyak reportedly was taken aback by the suggestion of allowing an American to use Russian communications gear at its embassy or consulate — a proposal that would have carried security risks for Moscow as well as the Trump team.Neither the meeting nor the communications of Americans involved were under U.S. surveillance, officials said.

"There’s a difference between debate and dialectic. Debate means you are trying to win. Dialectic means you are using disagreement to discover what is true. I am not interested in debate. I am only interested in dialectic, which does mean I listen to you, and you listen to me."

I am engaging all sorts of folks in dialectic in many very different places on the left and right. I think the above phrase defines what I seek better than I could myself. It's getting harder all the time. Most of the folks here are clearly and proudly on the left, but are light years more reasonable that the folks in this video.

I suspect the professor I quote above would like to engage these protesters in dialectic, but as in many other academic places these days he's told that this is not about him and that the time for discussion is over. Submit or be destroyed. Of course I don't encounter this here, but it is more frequent than you would think. I think the individuals responsible for the one-way ratchet that drives these students to this kind of display are not doing these students, this country, or the world a service. It feels to many people (myself among them) that if they could, these would unleash their own version of the Chinese Cultural revolution of the 1960's and 70's. Since some of the intellectuals behind this effort are avowed Maoists, it makes a certain sense to me as a matter of ideology. Note - when a Trump supporter sees this, he/she will pass it on to a friend and you get just that much more Trump. It moves pretty quickly.

If you wonder what the 60's was like, it wasn't exactly like this but the times aren't so very different. I value your input, and hope my input is treated with the same degree of respect. Victory in politics is overrated. Understanding and communication is underrated.
