COMEY: Isn’t Thousand Island the same as Russian dressing?
TRUMP: I’m glad you brought that up. I would like you to pledge your ever-ending loyalty, in the immortal words of Luca Brasi. You know, I used to be called The Don and compared to John Gotti, but with more bling. I would like you to tell me three times, before the cock crows, that I am not under investigation for working with Russia to defeat Hillary. Because I certainly did not need help defeating Crooked Hillary. I have to know you’re my guy.

ah yes, the tax plan. based on what professional economists I know refer to as "The Laffter Curve"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laffer_curve
it has worked wonders so far in Kansas
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/may/15/kansas-trump-style-tax-cuts-economic-disaster
and Louisiana

(^ this one's from a conservative, so both facts and alternative facts bear me out)
These ideas have also informed the UK Tories, with similar effects. unlike some of their American counterparts, they are at least are smart enough to understand that it's a recipe for economic disaster, though it was only ever meant to provide pretext for the state redistribution of resources to the rich.
When I wake up, if the money is on the table, I'll know I have a partner
Sorry, not sure I understand your meaning with the JFK reference - those disclosures were to resolve a crisis, if the WaPo report is true Trump was just boasting what good intel he got and gave the information up to no purpose?TBH that could easily be the sort of thing that is put about by people who want Trump deposed, and is entirely true, but which means nothing - for instance its almost certain that JFK revealed highly classified information to Khruschev and his negotiators during the Cuban Missile Crisis, but given the reasons for its disclosure the fact that he did so is meaningless.
Also that Post article raised more questions than it answers. One of "our" / the US's allies has an intelligence source high enough in Islamic State to be counted as part of its inner workings? For a start, it can't be that secret if they are reporting it as an adjunct to this story, and secondly I bet 99% of people could, in two guesses, work out which ally it is. It also begs the question of whether the US (or this ally) actually knows in advance about attacks that take place.

"The information Trump relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government, officials said.
The partner had not given the United States permission to share the material with Russia, and officials said that Trump’s decision to do so risks cooperation from an ally that has access to the inner workings of the Islamic State. After Trump’s meeting, senior White House officials took steps to contain the damage, placing calls to the CIA and National Security Agency.
“This is code-word information,” said a U.S. official familiar with the matter, using terminology that refers to one of the highest classification levels used by American spy agencies. Trump “revealed more information to the Russian ambassador than we have shared with our own allies.”
This is just unbelievable.
Best season of America yet.
