Oh, and as we are bringing up polling here is probably the largest single poll so far. A poll of teamster Union members. It shows Trump with a lead of over 25 points with Teamsters. He lost the similar Teamster poll last time to Biden by 10 points. That's a massive swing. It's a swing that probably points to similar shifts in other unions and the wider working class, especially white working class. Trump isn't doing worse in the rust belt in 2024 with these numbers.

There are probably a few reasons for this.

I'd have thought the main one would be that he's eight years older and clearly in decline.

The second that he's had two attempts made on his life recently.

The third is that the security services have been on and on at him about how difficult it is to secure open-air rallies, which are his preference.

The fourth is that attendances are obviously down and people can't be arsed so much, because the set list hasn't changed. It's the same old grievance tunes.

The fifth is that there aren't really many undecided voters at this point. People know what they're getting with the Orange Shitblimp this time around.

I hope this is shaping up to be a recipe for defeat, but I still have a bad feeling about it all.
