The difference is that a jury convicted Trump in one case and a Judge threw out the other.
A more apt comparison would be Trumps NY conviction and Hunter Bidens Delaware one.

I just dont understand what makes people think "Yeah, this fella is a Saint, all these nasty people are just out to get him", how can that be the outcome you reach? All you need to do is spend 10 minutes watching the things hes said, the things hes wrote.

I think its different depending on where you look. In the US, there is genuinely a large, mostly uneducated, contingent of voters that are easily duped by snake oil salesmen. They just don't have the mental or critical faculties to see Trump for what he obviously is. It's the same thing that makes the US so susceptible to cults, which is a fairly accurate term to describe Trumpism.
For the lads on here? Well, there's a common thread. None of the Trump supporters on here are American or live in the US. They are motivated by LiB HeAdz FaLLiNg oFf. And if that can be achieved by a convicted rapist, criminal and probable paedophile, then that is the man they will support. It's odd behaviour by most normal standards, but it is what it is
He got a mob to storm congress to avoid leaving last time and didn’t care if his own VP, let alone anyone else, was lynched in the process so this seems wildly optimistic odds to me.

Who is defending him, I’m certainly not. However I would stand by my comment that the courts have been politicised in the US……..
If you need evidence of this - just look to the recent years where you were locked in your home and not allowed to leave with all of your rights being taken from you.
