Whoever runs for the 2024 Presidential election should confirm prior that they will pardon Trump for the good of the country.

Doesn’t really make any difference does it.
With regards to him getting the nomination, almost certainly not. DeSantis was the only person in the field who you could even see challenging Trump, and he's flat out imploded. Then all you're left with are the guys like Chris Christie and Mike Pence who have suddenly and miraculously, in mid-2023, grown a spine and are now sounding the alarm of what a danger Trump is, and you can't win the Republican primary without the Trump vote.

As far as winning the general election, I don't think the recent indictments make a world of difference. There may be a few people who are swayed, but for the most part, if you were still open to the possibility of voting for Trump after watching 1/6 play out, nothing that happens in a courtroom is going to change your mind.

Vivek Ramaswamy has overtaken De Santis now, he's the best GOP option.

Was enjoying Pence getting pelters from people for not stoping the election results. He enabled all this.

Christie is a funny one. Is quite engaging when he talks and pretty much ended any presidential hopes Rubio had but has no chance of a nomination. Was one of the first to back Trump as well if I remember right. Probably on a promise of a big job.

Would cause a lot of confusion if Biden pardoned Trump. I’m all for it.
And likely cause an actual Constitutional crisis if Trump tries to pardon himself.

A man, credibly accused of MULTIPLE crimes, uses his power to attempt to issue himself an unprecedented pardon for those crimes. At which point the legality of said pardon is determined by a panel of nine judges, three of whom he himself appointed. Not in favor of that scenario at all.

Funny how nearly ending up on your deathbed after your boss locked you in a room with him for hours without bothering to tell you he had COVID can cause you to examine your opinions of that man.
