Vaguely amusing that the majority found him guilty yet they "argue" found not guilty. I appreciate the 2/3 rule which is the required amount for conviction. To be more accurate he was "found guilty by the majority but not convicted in accordance with the requirement for 2/3rds of the votes "NEEDED FOR A CONVICTION"".

So, in light of republicans saying trump was guilty but couldn't be impeached, why haven't they moved to immediately expel him from the party?

I’ve said this all along they are worried he will create his own party and split the Republican vote.

Its self serving and unprincipled and basically allows them to be bullied by narcissistic moron and his sub human sons.

They had the chance to clean up the party but decided to save their seats in the houses instead. They stayed loyal to Trump then the country.

the scary thing is that Trump still enjoys widespread support amongst conservative voters .......how can there be 70m idiots in that country.

crazy and mind boggling

This sort of stuff grates.

I just don't understand the logic that goes through the heads of people in teh Democrat party when they come out with absolute rubbish like this. No, the country does NOT need a "strong Republican party". The country needs accountability and people who want to lead to better ALL Americans. What about the fn Republican party is EITHER of those things?

Trump will now be sitting on the sidelines sniping at every mistake Biden makes and getting maximum publicity as per normal.. I hope this doesn't affect Democrat thinking while they formulate and carry out policy to drag their country back on the road to prosperity.

What Biden needs is an attack dog of his own to keep up a relentless critique of Trump and his cohorts. He should ask Rupert Murdoch round for dinner!

You'd never see a republican saying that about the dems. Just needless, one sided twerking.

Or, I don’t know, amend the Constitution so that there’s no question as to whether or not an outgoing president is above the law?
