Joking apart, is that something the ex-Presidents or their associates actually try to do? Bug the White House? (I'm looking at you Nixon and Trump) I could see that a time for changeover of all the items inside would be a good opportunity for an opposing intelligence agency to gain access mind you. Surely they do thorough checks or a rather frequent basis.

I assume Biden's new intelligence team put would do such a thing, it makes sense but I haven't been able to find information about it. However, it seems disinfecting the White House is something that is probably happening at the moment.
