Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Have to say, that list of pardons absolutely sickens me. It goes to show once and for all that Trump is officially full of hot air and will say anything to keep his supporters behind him, yet when it comes down to it he can't do the things he's been talking about for four years.

Freedom of speech, freedom of press? Let's free a bunch of crooks, fraudsters and violent rapper thugs instead of Assange and Snowden who traded their very freedom for a life in exile and the threat of prison for the rest of their lives if the US ever gets its hands on them for revealing its most dirty secrets.

Yet his supporters will still swallow every word he says. Are they even still convinced he'll win a second term?

I know the Bannon one will get all the coverage, but I'm more curious about the lil Wayne pardon. Trump doesn't strike me as a fan of that genre of music.

Makes me feel mildly ill when people equate Assange and Snowden

I equate them in terms of innocent men who should not be forced to live in exile under the threat of a lifetime in prison - or in Assange's case, living in jail as we speak with no prospect of release. I know they represent different things.

Lil Wayne has supported him quite vocally.
It's the only reason he went to the White House! To be fair to him (Lil Wayne, whoever he is), he knew that Trump was desperate for any kind of attention and public backing from literally anybody, so he took it upon himself to seize the opportunity and reap the rewards shortly afterwards in the form of a pardon.

Not surprised about this repeal Another pledge by Trump that was never to be fulfilled during his time in office. Trump was the biggest swamp so he had no reason to drain it.

"President Trump rescinded an executive order early Wednesday morning that had limited federal administration officials from lobbying the government or working for foreign countries after they leave their posts, undoing one of the few measures he had instituted to fulfill his 2016 campaign promise to “drain the swamp.”

Trump had signed the now-reversed executive order with much fanfare in an Oval Office ceremony in January 2017.

“Most of the people standing behind me will not be able to go to work” after they leave government, Trump said at the time, flanked by senior aides.

The order required executive branch appointees to sign a pledge that they would never work as registered foreign lobbyists, and it banned them from lobbying the federal agencies where they worked for five years after leaving the government."

It's actually going to be funny to know that Trump is out there but with absolutely no platform to get his messages across because he's banned from them all! What are his supporters going to do? Today must be a very sobering day for them.

Joking apart, is that something the ex-Presidents or their associates actually try to do? Bug the White House? (I'm looking at you Nixon and Trump) I could see that a time for changeover of all the items inside would be a good opportunity for an opposing intelligence agency to gain access mind you. Surely they do thorough checks or a rather frequent basis.

I was jealous of that time Trump organised a McDonald's buffet in the White House, mind you. Although, that said, no McDonald's is good unless it's eaten right away, and they'd had it left out for ages for photoshoots before his guests could even eat any - must have been cold and soggy AF!
