I’d love to have seen the context for that screenshot. Let me guess “see the bias of big tech, flagging Trump tweets and not Biden ones”?
I’m expecting nothing. But I’d like a “left wing” president to be telling the people to get out in thier millions and cause mayhem ‘peaceful mass protest’ throw a spanner in tell the people that there’s a new ‘don’t show up for work’ day etc (semi joke) and explaining everyday what the wanqers are doing in congress and house, tell them he is doing everything to fight but needs help. Needs to rally his people to get some equality for the working class. Be the anti Trump and then some. You’re expecting McConnell to give him votes for a $15 minimum wage?
ohh my sweet summer child
its fox mate. Ofc they are mental, sharing it to have a laugh.I’d love to have seen the context for that screenshot. Let me guess “see the bias of big tech, flagging Trump tweets and not Biden ones”?
Oh I know... I just meant that there's two ways that statistic could be framed.its fox mate. Ofc they are mental, sharing it to have a laugh.
Maybe actually read the screenshot - it wasn't zero tweets, it was zero tweets that Twitter has flagged as lies about the electoral process. But yeah, Zero tweets
Ah yes the unbiased privately owned Twitter flagged trump more. Staunch republican I’d imagine this owner is ye?Maybe actually read the screenshot - it wasn't zero tweets, it was zero tweets that Twitter has flagged as lies about the electoral process.
Or perhaps you're saying you'd prefer he had some of those??
And it was on this day that @Death jumped the shark.Ah yes the unbiased privately owned Twitter flagged trump more. Staunch republican I’d imagine this owner is ye?
You may have forgotten, because they both began with 'B' , that it was Biden not Bernie the one that got voted as our president. Biden is not a 'left wing' president and his way of communicating with the media is very composed, unlike the charlatan we currently have in office. In my opinion he has done a good job so far communicating what his administration is going to be doing for the first 100 days, things such as reversing as many of Trump's executive orders and asking people to wear masks so we can all make a difference getting this virus under control. Once he gets in office I think he will be more aggressive with his messaging but rallying people right now and promoting progressive legislation may be too risky given there are still two senator seats that are up for grabs in Georgia and the last thing we need is Biden giving Republicans a weapon that will actually ignite voters on the right.I’m expecting nothing. Should use the media every aspect of it to explain to Dems and republican working people what needs to be done theoretically.
But yeah, Zero tweets and all else... zero
Because, yanoe, he’s that particular type of Democrat.
Wait a minute... that sounds like.... nuance...You may have forgotten, because they both began with 'B' , that it was Biden not Bernie the one that got voted as our president. You mean the art of a sidelong sneer? Yes, it was my good morning greeting for @DeathWait a minute... that sounds like.... nuance...
As I said I don’t expect that from him. I expect him to reverse some of the mental stuff trump has done as laid out. Ok tip toe around voters from the right as Biden will be top toe’n, no flat out doing a jig for the republicans. Ewww don’t want to rattle the republicans ewwww we got to play ball. That’s straight out of the neo liberal corporate hand book Sas. Heart breaking stuff..You may have forgotten, because they both began with 'B' , that it was Biden not Bernie the one that got voted as our president. I disagree with your assessment as I don't have a copy of a neoliberal handbook at my house but I do have an old copy of the Communist Manifesto, maybe I should have read a few chapters before posting here lolAs I said I do t expect that from him. My point is and remains biden won’t do anything substantial for the working class. He won’t do what’s needed to be done as he doesn’t really want that. He is corrupt. As I said he needs to get the message out there and ok not so aggressive to get a negative reaction from republican voters but he needs to scream into the media at republicans. He wants better pay, better health etc etc etc and tell the people of America not Dems and republicans bit the working class reach out to the republican voters and bemoan his own party and why they are screwing them so the republican voters can then be open to hear what he has to say about the system in general what’s happening to them what’s happening in the senate and house and why thier politicians are screwing them and get them to revolt.
But nuuuuaaaannnnceee for days lad! He got to play ball it’s very intricate and you must please the establishment republicans and the voter and sell your soul to try win small battles that can be reversed and mean absolutely nothing.
Again this what a real left wing person should be doing. I know Biden in a Tory Democrat and he will play ball. At the expense of the working class for the next 4/8/12/16/24/28 etc years.
No one was talking about "playing ball" though... we were talking about keeping the temperature down for a few weeks until the Georgia elections are done in a few weeks... because - as daft as it is - those two run-offs in Georgia will basically define how much Biden is able to get done in his first term.As I said I don’t expect that from him. I actually agree with a lot of your points about messaging but the guy needs to take office first and have a Congress in place before he can be aggressive about standing up for the working class, otherwise it would be this messaging the one that Mcconnell and his Republican allies would use to rally people in Georgia against Democrat candidates that we actually need in office for Biden to be able to pass any meaningful legislation for the working class.
Moreover, one can't play ball when the game hasn't even began and you are already crying fault by claiming Biden won't do anything substantial for the working class when he has yet to take office. I'm sure more hopeful about him doing something but I'm also aware that politicians always lie about their platforms so it would also be up to us, the people, to continue pressuring his government for changes to happen. It will be up to the people to vote in two years and elect candidates that are willing to fight with Biden for the working class. We also have a responsibility in this affair.
You are also correct about Biden needing to push the Democrats to improve and implement a messaging that reach out to Republican voters. They need to do a better job explaining to voters that working class causes such as better pay, better healthcare system, universal childcare, free college tuition, equal pay for women, etc are their cause too. These are issues that can have a have effect on everyone lives regarding of party affiliation. Democrats did a very poor job communicating this message this election cycle and as a result over 70 million of voters sided with Trump even when for many of them was voting against their own interests.
So my dear Death it seems that our expectations for this administration are very similarly aligned, I'm just more patient with the timing and more hopeful than you are.
Ok fare points made and I was going to add I a counter but bb went on to simplify a few other points as was going to say if Georgia falls through what then. But I grant that you need a solid as a platform as you can grab and stand on before getting the message out. Although Bidens history and a lot of other history will suggest the it’ll be steady as she goes and the people will have to take responsibility on their own representatives albiet likely not with Biden cheerleading a stratagem for the people. I’d like to hope Bernie would do some work in that department if he got a good position but that’s another long shot.No one was talking about "playing ball" though... we were talking about keeping the temperature down for a few weeks until the Georgia elections are done in a few weeks... because - as daft as it is - those two run-offs in Georgia will basically define how much Biden is able to get done in his first term.
IF (and it's a big IF) Dems win both, then he has at least a chance to get anything substantial done (and at that point, if he doesn't do anything, you have every right to criticise him - I'll be right there with you) but if they don't - something which will be made much more likely if he went off the deep end right now and poisoned the well in Georgia - then any hope you or I might have of progressive legislation (outside of executive orders) goes up in smoke.
