That is utterly bizarre that a news station would up ratings , such an American thing to happen.You shall check out my post about NewMax TV, these channel seems even more extreme than Fox and since the election their ratings have been going up. Here is the link to the article.

It's weird how news stations are seen differently in America than they are here in the UK. We don't have any news stations of choice , we don't have any varying their stance on politics and not many people are even arsed to watch them at the best of times.

So I just had the talk with my daughters, 9 and 12.No not that talk, though we've already had it with our 12 year old, but I sat down and talked to them about the importance of being informed. Their grandparents and mom (ex wife obviously) on the other side are trumpsters and saying fake news and fraud.
I told them that it is important to get informed and do research from reputable sources, not get their information based on beliefs and definitely not from social media. I shared with them what is going on and how Trump has done a lot of harm to society by giving credibility to misinformation.
I used the example that if their teacher called me to say they were bad in school, they could just say fake news. And when the report card comes with bad grades, they could claim it was a fraudulent report that was tampered with.
On the other hand, come Christmas time when they don't get the gifts I promised them, I could say fake news I never promised that. And when they earn money for doing extra chores, I can claim I did them and not pay them.
Told them that they should never just take a random person's word for something, that they should always get informed from a REPUTABLE source.
Just wanted to share. Never thought I would have to have this talk with them, but such are the times we live in and I thought it was important.

A guest on CNN just now was discussing what crimes Trump could and couldn’t pardon himself of and hit upon something I hadn’t yet considered. What kind of odds would you guys place on him committing treason at some point once he leaves office, even if he were to do it accidentally? I’d have to say there’s at least a 10% chance. He notoriously doesn’t know how or when to shut the **** up. Imagine if he actually committed treason via Twitter.

Like you don’t have much faith that he will be able to keep things that should be confidential that way, either by accident or design,
However in this case Trump’s disinterest in details, or even reading all his daily intel brief, will be helpful.
And given things like his insistence that California fires are due to a lack of raking of leaves and ranting about wind turbines killing all the birds anyone not in his base he gives vague info to will be left in a lot of doubt about the accuracy of his claims.
