Johnson was going round hospitals maskless, shaking hands and holding meetings in close proximity to others a month after Trump told Woodward it was serious and after we’d seen what was happening in Italy.

He took it less seriously than Trump did, at least at that time. That he then panicked (and has continued to panic ever since) shouldn’t give him a pass.

Yeah I've not really explained properly! I mean he has pretty much followed science, not dismissed it, not said it will 'go away' etc

This is what I think too, seeing the surge in support for Johnson after he went to hospital - its a last chance saloon. Although I think wont go that far as he'd see thst as a weakness.

The way this should play out is that the man who's downplayed the virus getting it will severely undermine him. I think when the dust settles on this news, that's exactly how it'll be.

Even greater chance of a victory for Biden IMO.
