Study after study shows that turnout is the enemy of the GOP. You're correct that it doesn't necessarily follow that suppressing mail ballot turnout during a pandemic will necessarily favor him.

Odds are the result would still hold, though it's questionable whether that outweighs the negative electoral effects of intentionally breaking the USPS in a public way.

Apparently one of the "regulars" came in one night already a bit drunk and started going on and on about how lazy younger kids were. He was adamant that a kid should be able to go from college to owning a house in less than 3 years. He has a son who still lives at home, mind you, at age 33. And even when others pointed out that his son makes "good" money(about $60k/year) and can't afford a house, he started getting more and more irate. Ended with him throwing a glass of beer at the owner and throwing a punch at the lady bartender who called him out on his BS because he said she was just "lazy" that she and her fiancee couldn't afford a house in their mid 30s.

Politics are strictly banned now.

He probably read it and realized it was all about him taking classified information to people who had no clearance and he would be charged with leaking the intel. Because that's apparently the MOST important thing to republicans as shown by all the impeachment and every other hearings.
