Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Listen, John and I had our disagreements, of course. But in the America John Lewis fought for, and the America I believe in, differences of opinion are inevitable elements and evidence of democracy in action. We live in a better and nobler country today because of John Lewis.

From George W. Bush’s remarks at the funeral today. Clinton had some nice remarks as well, and obviously Obama’s eulogy was fantastic. Meanwhile, not only could the sitting president not be bothered to show up for the service, he actually attempted to call a briefing in order to steal their thunder. Obviously not treading any new ground here, and this incident may not get some of the attention of some of the other low points of his administration, but how much of a petty, insecure piece of **** do you have to be to conduct yourself in such a manner?

Prefer they vote for Biden. Some GOP/ independents voting 3rd party are partly why we ended up with Trump
Of course, I'm talking about the old school always voted republican people, if they don't vote trump he could be in big trouble

In Trump's defence (except, you know, not really...) I seriously doubt that he was welcome.
he probably wasn't but that's nobodys fault but his own.
This was the perfect opportunity to mend bridges.
He could have publicly offered his respect to the family and honored Lewis's legacy,
He could have gone to pay his respects at the rotunda
He could have worked with Lewis's family and staffers to craft a response.
He could easily have done enough to be a non speaking member of the congregation.
The fact that he didn't do any of this shows, again, that he considers his racist base more important than America as a whole.

Yeah, that was kinda my point with the "except you know, not really" part.

The fact that he wasn't invited/welcome is a stunning indictment of him as both a man and a President.
