And how often was he "wrong" because information and understanding of the disease was changing so rapidly.
I wasn't promoting masks for everyone early on; only symptomatic, until we learned about very mild to asymptomatic cases causing spread.

And I'd agree, that he should have pardoned him rather than commuted the sentence (I mean, he clearly shouldn't have done EITHER, but if he had to do one of them...) because then Stone would have had to answer questions without being able to plead the 5th. I don’t know that their actions have necessarily destroyed the economy. As the true scope of this virus comes more and more into focus, it’s become evident that tourism, sports, etc. are all a thing of the past until an effective vaccine is widely available. Not just in Florida, but everywhere in the world. At this point they need to do what they can to mitigate the death toll.

Also, it’s not as if everyone there voted for these terrible politicians. Both the presidential and gubernatorial races were extremely close. Out of 9M+ votes, Trump won by about 100k and DeSantis by 30k.

Not just just death. We are learning more and more that many survivors will have serious life long consequences - which means preventing infection as well.
