I don't think, considering we (UK) have got the 4th highest number of deaths per capita in the world (and 2 of the countries above us are San Marino and Andorra, who only have 94 deaths between them, but have a combined population of ~100k) that it's unreasonable to say that we've handled it pretty badly.

However, looking at the data from the past few weeks, the UK does seem to be getting a handle on things and there is reason for a certain amount of optimism going forward, with the obvious caveat being that nobody knows when or if a second wave will rear it’s head. Meanwhile, the data seems to be showing the situation in the US headed very shortly towards another, more heavy handed lockdown, or just being forced to allow the virus to run its course and kills tens of thousands.

Mad thing is many cities and counties in several states businesses will refuse you service or entrance if you don't have a mask.

Here in San Diego there are many refusing to wear masks but they are quickly finding out many places won't let them in. So there rebellion is in vein and will be. This week some of these idiots tried threatening the county supervisors and committee as a result.

Costco, Supermarkets, liquor stores and most restaurants all will require a mask.
