Of course Jake hasn’t seen the plan for how the Trump admin are going to deal with pre-existing conditions if Supreme Court invalidates Obamacare - nobody has!
So rather than boasting how good this mysterious plan is how about making it public to reassure the millions who are worried about losing their healthcare?!

Even if they believed in federalism, which they don’t on a whole host of issues like immigration, they aren’t even deferring to local officials on COVID. They still had a rally in Tulsa despite the local health department not wanting it and then packed in people closer together overriding the attempts at social distancing. Not to mention all the pressure on states to open up.

Such a load of nonsense from Pence. There may be times where the “genius” of Federalism works to our advantage, but I can’t immediately think of any of the positives. What I’m certain of is that COVID has absolutely laid bare some of the downsides. Prior to this, the most prominent example in my day to day life of our patchwork system of state by state jurisdictions was how I could drive an hour over to North Carolina and the speed limits and traffic laws aren’t necessarily the same. But now that we’re dealing with a global pandemic, and there’s neither a uniform law of the land that governs safety measures, nor any realistic way to stop people from moving from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, it’s quickly turned into a complete ****show.

He must be doing some grade A bootlicking. Can the president sack him?
Interesting question, which made me learn something new today, as I’d never even considered that possibility. The answer is no, he’s an elected official, and the only way he can be removed from office is through the same impeachment process Trump went through a few months (a lifetime?) ago.

He isn’t your Vice-President, the view is a tad less amusing when he is the one nominally leading coronavirus response for your nation.

Am I only aloud to make fun off Pence if I’m a hardcore Joe Biden phallus jockier or how does it work?

He can choose not to have him on his ticket for 2020 iirc - was some speculation a while back that Nikki Haley was trying to replace him.
