But there has basically been “no response”for decades, that’s how it got so bad. The french I think recently declared their intention to recognise Palestine as a state but that also went quiet, no doubt due to pressures from elsewhere
I think everyone is just in a holding pattern at the minute.
Nobody is taking anything an impeached president and indicted PM say particularly seriously at the moment.
It is concerning that Benny Gantz was part of the process.
The international community know that there's no point in even considering any proposals while Trump has a seat at the UN.

This is the crux of it. The sooner he dies the better for 99% of the world

Could go into the realms of unpredictability if he does. Think he’s a revolting human mind you
He certainly is.

If he testifies, it won't change the outcome (nothing could do that), but it will be unpleasant for Trump.

Oh, and he certainly is.

ha, looks like I went glass half empty!
By all accounts McConnell didn't have the votes 48hrs ago... obviously that can change, but I can see there being 4+ R senators who will vote for witnesses/documents to appear "moderate", then vote to acquit. Romney said he thinks there could be as many as 10.

voting is alphabetical and the first up would be Lamar Alexander, he's a moderate and if he votes for witnesses, Romneys prediction will be accurate. I dont see it tho. McConnell will have cooked up all sorts of deals with the moderates.

Just seen that there’s now a piece (possibly from The Hill) saying that Republicans are now confident they can block witnesses.

this despite ~70% of the population (and a plurality of Republicans) wanting to hear from them.

it really is unreal the depths they’ll go to.

yea, it's nuts but not surprising. The whole thing could be wrapped up tomorrow afternoon.
