Given there is no reputable survey of every top scientist
There's loads, and they were posted for you
Also getting wound up on the internet is about the most futile thing I can think of![]()
Aye mate, everyone can see what a cool head you've kept here

I see you decided to ignore my main point regarding computer models though. For a man who argues with “logic, reason and facts” that seems a little bit odd to me.Given there is no reputable survey of every top scientist that's just emotive gobbledygook, sorry
I see you decided to ignore my main point regarding computer models though. For a man who argues with “logic, reason and facts” that seems a little bit odd to me.
Here’s my point of view regarding the use of data or computer models. I work in banking, I am expected to be sure up to a thousand complex calculations are completed correctly daily. Obviously I do not pull out a pen and paper for each one, so I use a financial model for each one, I then compare these with the expected outputs and analyse if they are, or are not correct. Guess what the kicker is here? The model is correct 99.9% of the time, the only issues ever seem to be with what people expected.
Now, imagine the complexity of a calculation relating to climate change... Yeah, that is why they use models for these calculations.
I thought you would have recognised that models in matters climate are hapless nonsense the variables aren't nailed down and mostly they play with proxies (some are reasonable some not so much) as in this case hence I didn't think the point needed addressing.I see you decided to ignore my main point regarding computer models though. For a man who argues with “logic, reason and facts” that seems a little bit odd to me.

Baz is my new favourite poster. He's like a Breitbart Micknick
Firstly please let go of the bold button.Quite simple really I debate using logic, reason and facts occasionally slipping in a bit of humour and when a matter of conjecture and opinion stand by the phrase "agree to disagree". No swearing or ripping in nor calling people "mutant", "tosser", "kopite etc even though it appears acceptable from certain posters and completely at odds with the site claim that " GrandOldTeam prides itself on offering Everton fans a place for intelligent and respectful debate about the issues that matter to them."
I genuinely thanked you for intervening when someone brought up the "nazi" theme as they got a tad emotional and your reply was of the - "stop patronising or you're down the road" variety. In contrast when the pals (or multis) of the other chap whined in protest you said "right oh, thanks" - weird as fug.
I posted a joke in the Eu thread about prozzies from eastern europe being welcome here, not to every ones taste I grant you, but the Buce Wayne character kicked right off as though a serious comment his reply was so venal he even invoked the swear filter with his vitriol then capped off his fume by banning me for a week lollol
As soon as I returned he steamed in warning and personally insulting me on the "fit tranny" thread for saying what others had said with impunity - that I'd pop them all. Although if he's vegan it might be the "meat and 2 veg" phrase that set him off hard to tell under N.Korea rules.
He continued his vendetta the next day positively preening as he censored me by refusing my right to reply in the Australian bush fire thread. His misinterpretation of a smiley emoji was juvenile someone had posted pictures of the effect of the fire as though that attributed causation which of course is laughable nonsense hence the emoji but he decided I was laughing at the victims. The fella was teetering on slander
Nonetheless I do sympathise, I tell my missus if I come across someone like me I'd kick his effin' head in but then I'm not a mod. Also getting wound up on the internet is about the most futile thing I can think of
I like fig rolls
I had the mods open one of the climate change threads. Take your rant there. https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/climate-change.107344/
Thanks
Just be repeating the kryptonite question of "where is the non modelled evidence for man made climate doom" and heads will explode but I'll have a look.
Loved your "rant" descriptor, watch your head now![]()
As @RAFUH says, please take this to it’s own thread. Thanks. In the study, published Wednesday in the journal Nature, the researchers combined computer models
Oh dear, careful you don't spill your coffee in annoyance lol
I never said "edit" Batman stopped me replying that is the very definition of censorshipFirstly please let go of the bold button.
Secondly, if you see something we’ve missed (ie. insults) please report them and we will deal accordingly - the report function is valuable because we can’t read absolutely everything.
Thirdly you initially mentioned us censoring you. That is something we have never done. We do not edit people’s posts other than to remove offensive or potential illegal content.
I also like rolls.
Well if you’re not prepared to report things, don’t complain if we don’t see them.I never said "edit" Batman stopped me replying that is the very definition of censorship
If I reported every insult left unattended your beauty sleep would be severely curtailed
I'm not really a##ed how you and the other fellas run the ship I just believe in a fair crack of the whip for me personally and that didn't happen in the examples given.
I've said my piece so hopefully the message has got through - no more misrepresentation, snark and a bit more impartiality - if it's too much trouble say so and I'll ship out, no biggie.

Sorry mate can't continue this herenot annoyed just pitying the ignorant
Honestly, he's not worth your time. I This whole nonsense about "models" being bad is just nutso. Everything you likely need to know about him is posted here. Including the (likely highly fallacious) claim that he has contacted and asked for peer-reviewed research from every "name" climate scientist.I see you decided to ignore my main point regarding computer models though. For a man who argues with “logic, reason and facts” that seems a little bit odd to me.
