I also apologise for comparing it to a sports ownership group, as theres no way a country can be seen as a conglomerate in a hypothetical sense.

So you don't reckon a thread about FSG would be trivial in comparison to a thread about the man holding the most powerful elected office on the planet? And you don't think that the foreign policy of (arguably) the only super power in the world (which also happens to be our closest ally on the world stage) has any impact on those of us who don't live within its borders? To say nothing of the decent sized group of Evertonians on this forum who DO live within its borders? Or those of us who have significant numbers of family and friends who do so?
So yeah, it was a pretty daft comparison.
And no need to apologise for having an opinion, that's the beauty of free speech. But freedom to have and express an opinion isn't freedom from that opinion being scrutinised or disagreed with
