Always thought it would go that way. Easy out.
Rumours are building that he will cut a deal to resign.
Quite hard to see him doing that given his personality, however if he gets impeached or loses the next election then I can imagine he will be on the hook for all the charges that he's making himself immune from now.

Kind of like how Kamala Harris isn't my pick for the Dem nomination, but the idea of her debating against Trump makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Nah, as much as I can’t stand Glenn Greenwald. He called this ages ago, he will be an absolute martyr if the impeachment is successful. If it isn’t it will make his already rabid supports force a landslide.
