What's pathetic is the blindness (willing or otherwise) of those who claim her sex, her race and her background have nothing whatever to do with the abuse she suffers. Not unlike those who claimed the abuse Obama suffered had nothing to do with his race.

Cheeto isn't playing anyone. He's not smart enough. He's completely in the moment and transactional. His strength is that he is utterly and completely devoid of shame.

Just because you don't want to acknowledge racism and sexism still exist doesn't mean it doesn't. And in America a group people can't stand AOC and her group partially because they have names and skin tones that those people see as not being American.

She may be well off now but to cry foul at AOC for living the high life while supporting someone who claims to know the struggle of everyday Americans despite never having bought groceries on his own is just funny in a very sad way.

Living the high life. Are you serious? Do you even know how much they make? Let me tell it too you its not that much. Newly elected men and women dont get paid alot. You might be wise to watch the documentary to see how she lives its certainly not the high life.

I think you are confusing her with those who hate Bernie sanders who is a millionaire and claiming he wants the 1% to pay taxes.

Think this is a tad disingenuous, to say her youth/race/sex have no bearing on how people feel about her (either negatively or positively) doesn’t seem to be at all based on the real world that most of us deal with every day. It might not be the primary motive of some, or even most, but to categorically rule out their influence seems naive in the extreme.

As for Trump he does tend to hog the limelight but in general I don’t think works out to his advantage - high drama can get very tiring after a while especially when as you say it means that things that directly impact people’s lives like the economy, healthcare or gun violence don’t get addressed.

This is Nixon-level abuse of power. There is no meaningful difference between Blagojevich selling the office for a Senate seat and Trump selling the office to a foreign power in exchange for an investigation of a political rival. (One's a federal bribery case and the other is treason, but those are irrelevant details.)

If there's one thing the Republicans have learned from the experience of Nixon, it's that the cover-up is worse than the crime, so they're trying to brazen it out instead.

I too was quite flabbergasted by "living the high life." Perhaps this has to do with the completely false claim that netflix paid her 10 million dollars for her documentary.
