It is a dire situation, for many reasons:
U.S. Farmers Are Being Bled by the Tractor Monopoly

Instead of coming up with something tangible, or running the candidate least associated with their tarnished brand (which, if it worked, would sweep the map and end the Republican Party), the Democrats will fight tooth and nail to instead offer a bumbling old man doing his best Trump imitation, while keeping everything else the same.

Equally could be said for the republicans in those areas. It's not as if any of them have helped farmers either. Lots of broken promises. Why because they know they will still get their vote.

If people in those regions insist on voting for politician who does nothing for them because they are a better choice appatently than the local progressive then its their own fault.

God forbid they vote for one of those modern progressive types.

A lot of the farm regions will never be swayed to vote blue. Even if they came up with something magical to solve their issues.

It's part of the reason many democrats don't bother on certain regions. Its not good to ignore parts but sometimes its futile.

It will be worse for any socialist politician type like sanders.

There are certain regions and folks that will never change.

I have spoken to many farmers who the company i consulted for were peddling and installing automated systems and they are a tough sell. Even with the benefits some of them did not see it or refused to. We met a great group of people and had some good laughs and were shown some great hospitality but when it came to change it was tough. Some of them were open to discussing their views too over dinner and drinks too. Its easy to see where they are coming from even if i dont agree with them politically.

So he is basically saying that the president is above the law and not subject to investigations as long as the president himself/herself believes the investigation is unfounded??!! Nixon would have loved that excuse.
