Looks like Stein has sued Michigan over their announcement today...they didnt go Steins way. And it looks like she missed Pennsylvania deadline day by a week or so too.

Not sure what they are trying to do here really....trying to dismantle electoral college?

No, they are trying to suggest that electronic voting cannot be trusted; whether they are right on this occasion is not clear, but there are long standing and genuine criticisms of the the systems in use and going back to paper would be a considerable improvement.

They are counting up the donations while they figure out what to do next. If you score easily on thirty-four dive, you run thirty-four dive until they find a way to recognize it and stop it.

How many presidential elections have they been using this system for? If its not the first time then why hasn't this been picked up on before?

That system? It was used in some counties and states for the 2000 and 2004 elections, and probably at various places at each election since (it isn't clear because the company changed its name in 2006 and has been sold on several times).

The scandal broke in 2003, though probably didn't become a major thing because (a) it wasn't journalists who discovered it and (b) the people who did discover it were not of the sort that the media like to boost (one of the people involved was/is a very prominent gun rights advocate). Some of the intimidation they and their allies got was shameful, people got arrested and various "we will sue you" campaigns were begun, though thankfully noone got convicted and they ended up countersuing (and winning) for damages.

Hillary said numerous times during her campaign that thats impossible and that not accepting election results is straight attack towards democracy. Way to go Hillary.

Theres about 9000 districts in Pennsylvania alone. And any of those electronic voting machines are not connected to internet. Stein and Hillary must be suggesting that theres atleast one ruskie spy in every voting place to screw up the result.

The Diebold machines weren't connected to the internet (at least not officially) - all you needed to do was take the memory card out of the machine and reprogram the code on it; it took five minutes and was almost undetectable. Given that county election officials were allowing the machines to be taken home by the employees overnight there was ample opportunity for it to be done.

Not sure about Michigan but in PA she has over 100 counties, a fraction of whats needed but if she can show a significant difference from the original count in these states, she can push for a statewide recount.

As long as she's not breaking the law, she can do what she wants. She raised the money to make these challenges.
Also, The Russians hacked the DNC. They talked with the Trump campaign, Trump has gone to lengths not to criticize Putin. Russian tampering in the count, although unlikely, is not completely impossible.
As a Fin, I would have thought you wouldn't want to see the continuous rise of Putin.

Because this is the first time since electronic voting that there has been obvious external interference in the campaigns. Stands to reason if a campaign was hacked, the count could be hacked.

My Question is if the result went the other way (by the same results) would this be happening? I don't believe for 1 minute that it would!!

This is one of the more annoying tropes of modern politics. All Putin is doing what any Russian leader would have done at any point in Russian history when faced with a threat, which is what NATO being in control of Ukraine is and what Clinton promising to enforce a no-fly zone over Syria was. His "rise" is nothing more than his refusal to blindly go along with whatever self-destructive and hypocritical idiocy the West comes up with.

I agree with him. Hope he bombs Anfield as revenge.
