the term 'free world' was a cold-war propaganda term to refer to the West.
So what.
Instead of using a shorthand term, I'll say now Trump is "one of a collection of national leaders in the world's strongest economies whose diplomacy drive the global economy and peace-keeping efforts."
So now that we have that behind us, what's your point?

eh? you brought it up as if Trump had some holy exalted position...my point is that the position has long been defiled by the previous incumbents, rendering your "supposed" jibe a little pointless.

But it hasn't
No one has defiled the office of the Presidency like Trump. It does my head in when people say this because it normalizes his behaviour by saying, well, Nixon did this, Bush did that, etc. You have "normal bad stuff" other Presidents have done in one corner, then you walk over the other side of the room, indeed outside the building and you have Trump. This isn't based on politics or political beliefs. The guy is an utter clown show. So to compare what he's doing to all other leaders is missing the point entirely.

fair enough, a man's gotta have principles. my non-negotiability is reserved for warmongers. Trump isn't that yet...
One could argue is bringing another war closer to our doorsteps, but we can agree on that point, he certainly doesn't appear to be interested in traditional wars abroad
