He allowed the government to shutdown tonight because Rush Limbaugh talked him into reversing his position on the continuing resolution passed by the House and Senate.
Yes, Rush Limbaugh now factually has presidential influence in America.
For those across the pond, Rush Limbaugh hosts the vastly unchallenged, and entirely opinion, most listened to radio program nationally.
Rush has made his wealth off being a bigoted ultra right wing, scaremongering conspiracy theorist.
That guy has presidential power in this administration.
Don't get me started on that paint on hair Senior Advisor Steven Miller either. The wall was funded and DACA agreed to several months ago. Steven Miller pointed out that folks like Rush would pan anything DACA even with a funded wall, and he was able to reverse Trump too.
Trump is in a hole. If he does the popular and bipartisan thing with regards to immigration things, he will be lambasted by his far right base. If he sticks with them then nothing gets done either way.
He is frightened to lose any of his base because he knows without them his reality show gets cancelled.
This is the third time he has been caught with blank paper in front off him.
You think they would have taken a lesson from the ridicule from him posing at mar a lago at the reception desk pretending to do "work" with the blank sheet in front of him and then the other time when they rolled folders of blank pages out on stage for show about what was it his taxes claiming they were full of complicated information.
If he is such a master of trolling like many claim he is he would have considered the above and maybe got creative with this but nope he is a dumb oaf. But im sure people will tell me this is a master class of trolling because libtards are getting upset.
Don't forget Laura Ingraham and the fox and friends crew too, who lambasted him for not holding on his promise.

He’s done some good things this week tbh, federally legalising hemp and CBD, bannning bump stocks, pulling troops out of Syria and Afghanistan (albeit for most likely dubious reasons). I can’t stand the guy but he deserves the odd bit of praise when he does something positive.
The criminal justice reform is big as well, although it’s a shame it’s not retroactive.

Pulling out of Syria and Afghanistan, is not good for the world. The fact that he didn't consult anyone that mattered on this is criminal.
Banning bump stocks deserves a 'thanks for virtually nothing' on the gun conversation. Praising a toddler for crawling is not praiseworthy.

Disagree strongly, should have happened many years ago, especially Afghanistan.
Sigh, its clearly a good thing, it may not be anywhere near enough to solve the problem but that doesn't change the fact it's a positive step. Answer this, would you rather bump stocks be legal or banned ?

You seem more concerned about the reasons he did it than the fact its resulted in two undoubtedly positive things happening. I mean the criminal justice reform is huge and massively positive.

Without being totally pedantic (uh oh too late!), it is likely that the spikes would be slightly different due to the manufacturing process where they wouldn't be interested in making exact clones of each post. The rough casting and the crude method of sharpening (If required) would see to that.
