I am not defending Trump, you seem to be defending one rude person by attacking a different rude person......

I think it's the duty of the press to robustly challenge, especially where someone is clearly amoral. I think the president's office does not demand deference simply because of the office, and I do not think that it is rude to call out lies and dangerous statements.
