Can any of our American blues tell me if Trump's decleration of a booming economy, great trade deals and record unemployment is true or not? Is there truth in these statements?
So it seems many western countries mick him but he's not actually doing as bad as people are led to believe. I know he recently made tax cuts but I've read this may have benefited the wealthy more than the poorest. Not sure how true this is though.booming economy = true (tho' some will say this is a long-term upwards trend which would've happened with or without Trump)
record unemployment = true (caveat: see above)
great trade deals = debatable (great for some, not great for others...mostly they're a wait-n-see as we won't know how great they are for a while)

My opinion which many don't share is that the economy by and large is separate from the President. I don't hold Bush responsible for the financial crisis, Obama may have been helpful but he didn't make the recovery happen on his own and the current growth may be helped by Trump's policies but he isn't solely responsible either. The impact of Obama and Trump era policy won't be felt probably for 10 years if it even has a big enough impact to matter at all.So it seems many western countries mick him but he's not actually doing as bad as people are led to believe. We discussed the tax cuts in the last few pages of this thread. They do indeed benefit low earners.
Many people, media & establishments don't like Trump for two main reasons:
1) he's brash, obnoxious, disrespectful, wild, childish and more
2) his policies are in some ways economically anti-globalisation

The economy is hot, because we are burning the furniture (similar to previous administrations) in our living room so there will be no where our children will be able to sleep. But yes, the US economy loves a Republican president, even if he is proven again and again that he is corrupt and inept in business himself. (as to the crash of 2008, that was due to bills passed by both dems and repubs).
And Trump is not just brash, obnoxious, and disrespectful. He is a sexist and racist who is not only unfit for presidency but unfit for society. He would have been ostracized if he were living in some sort of hunter-gather group.
As to how his tax cuts "benefit" low-earners, I must have missed that. Exactly how do they do so? I don't see any real benefit here.

We discussed the tax cuts earlier, no need for me to repeat myself. It's a fact there are benefits for low earners. It's just impossible for anti-Trumps to admit it. Because tribalism.
As to whether he is a sexist and a racist, that's a very harsh accusation. Any evidence for this?
Any evidence for low-earners deriving benefits from Trump's tax cuts? The evidence I provided in graphic form says definitively no.
As to Trump's racism...well no, he obviously hasn't burned a cross and worn a white hood. But here's what he's done along those lines:
--he has called all Mexicans rapists
--he's referred to black people in Baltimore as Thugs
--he's appointed Jeff Sessions, who was denied a Federal Judge position due to comments such as calling a white civil rights lawyer a "race traitor" and making sympathetic jokes about the KKK
--he's appointed Steve Bannon, who has claimed Briebart was the platform of the alt-right
--he's claimed a judge was biased due to being "Mexican"
--he's attacked the Muslim parents of US Army officer who was KIA
--he's been sued by the Justice Department for not renting to black people
--he said that quotes attributed to him--that black people were inherently lazy, that black people shouldn't be counting his Casino money--were "probably true"
--he questioned whether Obama was an American
--he said of the Pequots, that they "don't look like Indians to me..."
--he condoned the beating of a BLM supporter, saying "Maybe [the protester] should have been roughed up"
--when two men were convicted of beating up a homeless Latino and citing Trump as their inspiration, Trump said in response to these attacks, “I will say that people who are following me are very passionate...They love this country and they want this country to be great again. They are passionate.”

Tim Kaine falsely says Trump said 'all Mexicans are rapists'
And we've been through the tax cuts already, it's a fact there are some benefits to low-earners. If you haven't read the previous few pages I'm not gonna bother go back and re-quote, it's not as if you'll think differently anyway.
