Whilst I agree with Andrew McCarthy that it is unlikely Trump faces a criminal charge for these payments I can’t believe he typed the below bit with a straight face.
I very much doubt that the man who has spent his entire life publicly boasting about his infidelities would suffer personal embarrassment about having another two revealed. Or that it would be a huge blow to his marriage with Wife #3, who tied the knot despite knowing his reputation and what had happened to Wife #1 and Wife #2.

But unlike Cohen, Trump had major concerns that had nothing to do with the election: personal embarrassment, the humiliation of his family, and the blow to his marriage.

That is a risible argument that could only ever have been given credence by a people who collectively idealize lawyers as much as Americans appear to.
Of course him paying hush money to silence a damaging political story during a campaign is campaign finance. "I was worried about it affecting my wife" surely falls away when he did it and she clearly hates him anyway.

There you go. That pretty much sums up Mr. Donald J. Trump in a nutshell. An individual who is clearly incapable of taking responsibility for his own actions.
It's always someone else's fault: 'The fake news'; 'The Obama administration'...etc
I absolutely detest this man, and if he wasn't the president of the USA, I wouldn't even waste one second of my attention on him.
The sooner he goes. the better. And if things get really serious, you can bet your bottom dollar that this man won't do the honorable and resign. His over-inflated ego won't let him. He'll see all the way to impeachment.
And even STILL after that, it'll be someone else's fault that he got impeached! lollollol

The craziest thing about this is Trump is acknowledging that he paid hush money to mistresses while also holding the official position that he didn't actually have any mistresses and people actually believe it.
A “Schrodinger mistress”, a radioactive element that is simultaneously both fake and yet real enough to pay off. Only when we look in the box (or Peckers safe) can we determine its true state...although hopefully in better shape that Schrodinger’s cat.
Tbh probably a better move than pretending a respect and admiration that we know would have been a lie.
Although interesting that even some Fox hosts are critical.
