Trump could resign, either due to ill health or because he had lost re-election or just an accumulation of scandals, and make it a condition of his resignationation that he was pardoned like Nixon.
Tbh the scenario that really worries me is Trump losing in 2020 and refusing to accept the result for fear of prosecution post presidency. He after all threatened to not accept the results of 2016 if he lost.

And the show goes on.. Trump is like listening to a room full of Kopites - offended by everything (Crooked Hilary etc) - ashamed of nothing (racism, misogyny, financial mismanagement etc) and denying everything time after time. I read someone describe Trump as a Human Ponzi Scheme... a great analogy.
