the Paula White rumour in the same book is new:

Unhinged also posits that Trump may have received personal counseling from the Rev Paula White, the pastor of the New Destiny Church, a non-denominational megachurch in Apoka, Florida. According to Manigault Newman, White had blocked her from her job of choice at the White House, head of the Office of Public Liaison.

She was then warned by a Trump family member to “back off” on account of Trump and White enjoying a “special relationship.” Not content to let the story end there, Manigault Newman asks whether White’s position as Trump’s spiritual advisor “had ever been missionary”?

White seems a piece of work herself:

How on earth did Omerosa get in the situation room in the first place let alone with a recording device?

Some of the president’s “best people” hires along with Manafort, Gates, Carter Page, Flynn, Scott Pruitt.....just too many to list.

While Omarosa is a source somewhat lacking in credibility, a few questions arise here: how did she / why was she allowed to bring a phone into a SCIF, and why was her firing handled in a SCIF anyway? Doesn't Kelly have an office he can use?

I agree that Omerosa is very unreliable (a reason she should never have been hired in the first place) but this statement would indicate that the firing did take place in the situation room.

Utter incompetence and disorganization seems the most likely answers to your questions, I can only hope this event means the White House tightens up their security and access procedures.

Edit Apparently common practice of WH officials to use these rooms for personnel discussions

Behind the scenes: I spoke to several Trump officials who've spent time in the SitRoom. They say Kelly and the White House lawyers — especially Uttam Dhillon, who was recently appointed to head the Drug Enforcement Administration — used the SitRoom to talk with staff they were accusing of serious breaches, including problems with their clearances.

  • You have to lie and intentionally subvert the rules to get a recording device into the SitRoom, which is actually a group of several secure meeting rooms.
  • When White House officials enter the secure area — after getting buzzed in while a security officer watches through a keyhole camera — they immediately enter a lobby with a wall of lockers. They are required to put their phones and any other electronic devices, like Apple watches, in the lockers. They hold onto the locker key while they take their meeting in one of the conference rooms.
