It's an interesting question!

What matters more to the generic downballot Republican, money or votes? Never thought I'd find myself saying this, but in the long term, Trump sidelining the Kochs would be far better for America's vestigial sense of being a democracy than the Kochs deposing the Donald.

On paper, there's a lot not to like about the Kochs through the eyes of the average Trumpling, should Trump manage to harness and deploy his base against them.

On the other hand, when one's idea of "I have beaten them at every turn" consists of "I have made them richer", it's not clear they'll have grown tired of all his winning just yet either.

Maybe... they tried to stop him winning the primary and were roundly embarrassed though.

Nobody actually likes the Kochs - they just have money. Trump, on the other hand, has a relatively small but committed popular base, and even in America, that still amounts to something.
