I have no idea why your interpretation of what I said should be in any way prejudiced by my voting record or my age. Your voting record and age have no bearing on whether you understand historical/sociological facts on this matter. You either do or you do not.

Regardless, I will indulge you. I grew up in the Republican Party when hardly any could be elected in Texas. I became more independent when racist elements in the state became aligned with the party as it gained power. I currently vote more often for Democrats because the Christopublicans who now control the GOP in this state are odious creatures, neither Christian or the brand of Republican I was raised to be. As for my age, let's just say I'm closer to 60 than I am to 40.
