But yes turns out that tweet is indeed fake but the fact it's totally believable to loads of people isn't exactly a shining reflection on Tomi Lahren who has proven time and time again to be a thunder**** of the highest order.

This is one of the reasons discourse is pretty frustrating in this political environment. The left yells constantly about fake news and how Trump exaggerates or lies. As a result, he's dangerous, a fascist and people who supported him are either evil or stupid.
Yet, when some dumb left leaning entity gets caught red-handed fabricating stuff and spreading lies, after it's passed off as real, and after people go "OMG what has become of America/conservatism/etc." the response is usually "well it may be fake but it might as well be real."
The truth is that there are entities which are pretty miffed about Kanye siding with Trump, so they're spreading falsehoods. It's the exact same dishonest conduct those same people typically rant about with regard to Trump/the right.

No idea. Considering all three countries mentioned have far more dire human rights records than America, however, I think any argument for rejecting the combined NA bid on that basis would be a laughable bit of cover.
Of course it does. I'm less concerned about outright faked tweets and the like (which I assumed was fake and which you probably very quickly determined was fake as well). Half-truths and omitted facts are the bigger threat, I think.

If your point is that this is a particularly problematic issue merely due to the nature of the event, I understand.
My issue is with attempts to morally equivocate a (arguably misguided) exercise of border sovereignty with much broader human rights abuses in other host countries. I recognize you may not be doing that, but it honestly sounds like something some FIFA official would do.

Forget about the other two competitions. I just think it will stand against the US in the bidding process that there's a blanket ban on certain nations. So on the one hand Trump is begging for support in the bid and on the other hand he's banning everyone from a few FIFA member nations from setting foot in the country.
I believe they are considering that but nothing is confirmed so far. I would support a larger field of teams as it is always a shame that decent teams, in Europe and S. America in particular, miss out.
