Too late; Canada's closed as of now
However Mexico is good value due to falling peso

Very confusing that, they passed a law to set up a points system for visas but apparently haven't decided what those points will be, and you have to visit a Mexican consulate before you can even go down there. I'm sure mine will be absolutely swamped seeing as I'm in Texas.

Wow indeed.
If you thought Brexit was bumpy, hang on folks. Who would have thought this self styled buffoon would be in the White House?

Serious question for a minute for Tex and the other Americans who voted Trump...do you guys like Trump as President, or is it a better situation than having Clinton?

I suspect it's the latter? Why coudln't they get a better leading candidate than Trump ffs.

It's definitely the latter. Trump certainly has his issues. But you can't have corruption in the highest office in the land.

You ask a very good question about why not a better candidate. My only answer is that the country is tired of the establishment not listening to the citizens and Trump played right into that.

Any other time, this answer would be the correct one. Totally agree. But it's Trump ffs. It's just mental. It'd be like Jeremy Clarkson running for English PM.

He's played a blinder to be fair.

I don't think Putin pulling the strings of our President is a good thing....go on and tell me why it is....I am unarmed btw...

You tell me, la.

Why the GOP couldn't get a better candidate? He's winning. If my Democrats had come with a different candidate (Biden, a shaved orangutuan), this would not have been close.

How can you be more disliked than Trump? Ask Hillary. It's legitimately baffling.

Dow Jones futures have already dropped their max. Dow Jones expected to open with a single day loss greater than 9/12. Peso has already lost 8% value against the dollar. Asian markets are getting roasted.

Again, our gift to you.

I know how it looks and I really can't argue with anyone on that point. Many in the country are just tired of the rules for the Clintons and the rules for the rest of us. The way Obama ran his administration is partly responsible for this.

I'm going to quote a genius here to allay your concerns Elong

I don't think Trump would be a particularly good president, but I reckon it will be better for the USA in the long term. The DNC admitted to rigging the democratic nomination in favour of Hillary, thereby rendering the whole process redundant and screwing a genuinely decent candidate in Bernie Sanders, not to mention giving the finger to his support.

I see plenty of people in my Facebook feed who think the US is in dire need of fundamental change, yet they're willing to let the cycle of Bushes and Clintons continue because they've been frightened by the media. Hillary is the most compromised candidate I can think of, already anointed by a party that doesn't want the idea of real change to take root, and a vote for her is a vote for "as is".

A vote for Trump may be the last chance the electorate have of making a real protest, a message to the establishment that will actually make an impact. Because 8 years down the line, the Republican party will fix their nomination system so that another populist candidate can't happen. The Democrats won't have to, because they admitted to rigging their primaries and nobody seemed to care.
