Donald Trump for President Thread

I'd actually like Trump to win. He's a narcissist, a racist and an all-round scumbag...but so is Clinton and all the rest of them. And just maybe it'd cool down relations with Russia though and that's what is needed.

Besdides that, it'll be another slap in the chops of the neo-con politicians and media who do the bidding of huge corporations and the financial institutions they're in cahoots with. I hope Americans wake up tomorrow with the bombshell moment we did when our political and media over lords failed to threaten and cajole enough sheep into backing their Euro referendum campaign.

yikes! this puts my wanting to give Martinez more time than most in a disconcerting new context...

no,no,no,no

i honestly dont think he would do anything he has said he woulld, but he would legitimise a load of redneck idiots into thinking their backwards opinions were relevant again

Yeah, I guess I see that, but I also feel that these candidates are so polarizing (e.g., as odious as I find Trump, there are people out there, and on this forum, who find Clinton equally so) that it is difficult to be immune from forming a strong opinion about them.

I should note, I'm not particularly fond of Clinton (though I voted for her--or more a vote against Trump), as she is just a cog-in-the-same-ole-political-machine technocrat, and not much else. I am quite fond of the idea of following up a Black president with a woman president though.

You think Clinton getting elected would change that? More likely exacerbate it.

If she is elected that place will grind to a halt until she's impeached. She's despised by Trump supporters, mainstream Republicans and the Democratic Party base. I cant see any social base for her other than the one around gender...and that will last until the novelty of a woman president wears off...real quick I'm guessing.

whoever wins the fallout is gonna be interesting for sure...

It is sort of funny considering the only person either of these wouldve had a chance against is each other. republicans messed up by trying to force Jeb in and not getting behind Rubio who i think wouldve won comfortable

at least it wasnt cruz..

Think its the fixed 4 years. If the President dies, the VP takes over. At least thats what happened when JFK caught it. Assume the same happened when Nixon was run out of town.
Yup. The tricky part with Nixon was that his VP, Spiro Agnew, had some legal troubles of his own so that's how Ford became President

It's been way too long since we've had a bald President. Hope that's next
