Going to be boss to see the Trump supporters go from praising "brave" Comey and the FBI for "unearthing the motherlode" to slating him.

Appears that 650,000 was the total number of Weiner's emails, the number that had some link to the Clinton server (the ones the warrant and search covered) were much smaller.

Tbf on him he probably thought he had to do it as the info that there were Clinton server emails on Weiner pc would get leaked anyhow - given that the FBI NY team seems to be leaking all over the shop on other issues as well, along with taking a surprisingly long time to bring the info to his attention, that was probably not an unreasonable assumption.

His vagueness was particularly unhelpful though, his internal letter was better phrased.

Personally think the race was tightening anyway but certainly gave a lot of momemtum to Trump supporters that were becoming dispirited and probably turned off quite a few third party/undecided voters. Will also have affected down ballot races and the Senate was much closer at the time than the presidential.
