it bothers me greatly how clintons alledged crimes go "unnoticed" by media while trumps accusations are spinned all over. i admit trumps way of doing things (attack is the best defence philosophy) isnt the right strategy because he cannot win this election. I find it facinating and a bit scary too how divided american society is. This election deepens the rift.

it's probably inevitable that the political chasm would start to manifest in institutions. this isn't really ever going to get better, is it.

it's too bad the geography of the divide is so complicated... otherwise a separation short of full divorce a la Belgium would be conceivable, ideally with two separate legal systems. "we'll be Germany/Canada over here, and you can go be South Africa/Brazil over there." at the very least, the cities, to the extent that anything in the US even qualifies, should free themselves from the states.

foreign policy would still be a problem though. sigh... America is far too important to be left to the Americans

TBH it is a bit much to state that the political chasm has manifested in the FBI - the piece (and its sources) don't state the FBI is anti-Democrat, just that it is anti-Clinton. That is perhaps not unexpected, given what they found in the investigation into her emails and how leniently she was treated.

Seems to me if people are sure Clinton is corrupt and these emails will take her down....then vote for her.....if she's guilty, she won't last long enough to do anything before being removed, Kaine will take over and in 4 years hopefully there's a better choice of candidates...
