I hope the doubters (why rush to judge a kid ffs?) are beginning to see what he offers.

He isn't close to the finished article and creates problems for defenses. Just for that alone he is miles ahead of Sandro at this point in time.

I don't doubt that in 2-3 years he will be a very very decent premier league striker. He is just not one yet. His finishing is weak and at the moment you never get the sense that he is a goal threat and that is not good enough for us. Yes he runs and holds up the ball but given our team we need goal scoring strikers.

niasse should be our first choice (and i said this last week before his goals today :-)

I'm sure he was having a good laugh with the Gwladys street late on when he was keeping it in the corner. Everyone was giving Stanislas loads over his imaginary watch pointing then cheering whenever it went out for our throw, and Calvert-Lewin turned round at the whistle laughing his head off. It was great.

He is a grafter and nuisance. His improvement has been rapid but still a way to go. Think this lad is going to be excellent in a year or 2 if he keeps working hard.

He didn't give the back four a minutes peace yesterday, he was so isolated running the channels and no one was there to support him as he broke away. Should have done better with the chance in the first half and should have buried the cross from JJK but they were his only chances all game. The lad needs service and will score goals for us. Still think he'll get at least ten in the prem this year if we stick with him up top. Desperately needs better service and a partner at least some of the time to take the load off him.
