2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

It was his time at Spurs I was referring to. Seems to have had a lot of hamstring issues. They tend to inhibit movement as players age. On the balance of probabilities he's likely to swap places on the treatment table with DCL.

Fair.

I loved him the first time but would have big reservations now, don't think he'd be anywhere near as effective as his first spell.

I think he'll get a move to London or maybe go abroad. Celtic might have a look for leftfield move.

It's similar to Iwobi. I never rated him a huge amount here and thought he was an awkward fit in a Dyche setup but he's done well for Fulham, been a regular in top half side all season.

Silva rates DCL and Fulham need more upfront so him going there on a free is an obvious move.

Jota being sidelined for Celtic might make a move up there an option. Celtic get a CF for free, with PL experience, playing against lesser opposition, all DCL needs to do is stay fit till Christmas until Jota gets fit, which might be too big an ask.

You two think DCL would entertain a move to Celtic?

Really, you think that?

Will play eight games in CL, 60k crowds, chance to win something, Brenton up there and perhaps he wanted to sign him at some stage for Leicester when they were a decent prem team.

I think on a free they'd show some interest although his wages would probably be beyond what they'd pay nowadays.

Is this a wind up?

Celtic can't afford his wage demands so he won't sign for them but he's not going to a bigger club than Celtic. I'd have money on Fulham if he leaves us.

Fulham is that type of club where the fanbase isn't hugely demanding on matchdays and outside of it. Iwobi's had a new lease of life there and think DCL would want that environment after all the stick he's taken here in last four years.

It's worn me out at times having to defend him so I really don't see him signing up for potentially another four years of it.

Him leaving will be good for him and this club I think.
