I mean I don't remember them having a go at supporters, but even if they did it wouldn't explain sending death threats.
Well I can see it explaining it but not justifying it. They're two different concepts. People don't always do things for a justified reason but they do typically do things for A reason.

People react to things in unbalanced manners all the time. You never know what might set someone off.

In this case it could be someone interpreting a harmless comment in the most offensive way possible, taking it incredibly personally, and then reacting out of our blind racist and misogynistic rage.

Not someone in their right mind.

Jesus. Some proper gammons about.

Regardless of feelings towards DCL, any abuse is wrong. Criticise his footballing ability, fine. But abuse on any form of SM is unnecessary.

Bringing his wife and child into it is abhorrent.

Victim shaming/blaming, whatever you want to call it, by suggesting that her positing a comment in support of her husband has stirred stuff up and will effectively lead to this sort of abuse is also shameful.

Yes we've had that line already.

You are actually allowed to apply critical thinking when it comes to victimization. There's a reason the word "Precaution" exists.

Nothing justifies this level of response. Nothing. I'm not saying anything justifies it, please stop trying to frame my argument that way. I haven't said that once.

But let's throw a few facts out here we can agree on.

There are aggressive, racist, misogynistic supporters in every club.

Some of those people will look at posts from the players family members of they're allowed to follow them on social media.

There are people who believe that they have perceived digs intended from Dom's family aimed at the support in the past.

There are people who believe that post was another dig at the support, along with previous comments from people connected to Dom of a similar nature. Some of those are the aggressive, racist, misogynistic supporters. Seeing that post and perceiving another dig invoked anger which has led to those abusive messages.

Whether offence was intended or not that post was seen by these angry people and interpreted in this offensive way and that has resulted in a reaction. A reaction that is completely unjustified. There's no assignment of blame in this statement. I am not blaming her, I am adding explanations for why this might have led to the reaction it did.

The only way to avoid the entire situation is to not engage or allow visibility into their social media.

You can only stop these people after an incident has occurred by letting themselves expose themselves and get themselves into trouble. They're always going to be out there and it's up to individuals to take the precautions to avoid this behavior though limiting access to their posts, profiles and messages.

It's a lot of words to say very little.

Women are allowed to post things on social media without recieving death threats.

The responsibility lies with those sending tmdeath threats, not those giving their opinions on social media. It's that simple.

I think you need to stop attempting to justify such behaviour. It's not acceptable, and needs to be called out unconditionally.
