Mate, I completely agree! I wasn’t agitated by it in the slightest, so please don’t think I condone this! I don’t! I’ve been clear on that.
But there are some very angry/ weird human beings out there. And for that reason there’s no point in even risking it is there?
I think that’s the general gist of what people are saying aren’t they?
No form of abuse is EVER acceptable, but any form of celeb, doesn’t have to be exclusive to footy, get a-lot of media training etc. it’s just never worth it.
It’s sad that it’s come do this, but here we are. We live amongst some absolute wronguns , who sadly will go after people, no matter how minor it is.

Anyone would get the same after having a pop at Elon Musk on Twitter these days. It doesn't take much to set these angry people with too much time off.
Psychos are everywhere on Social Media and when you let people send you messages or respond to posts you can't do anything but hope you aren't bringing yourself attention from these people.
It's by no means a sleight on every blue because one or two of them happen to support us. Every club has them.
It's unfortunate and the club has to do its part and condemn it but at the end of the day what can be done about those types of people? Any racist abuse she's received should be passed on for investigation and that's the end of it.

To be fair, I can't imagine they'd be from anyone else. I'm of the view that a footballer is fair game to be called crap, especially if they are on social media. Talking to their missus and threatening her is just weird, though.
It's possible they aren't Everton fans but a) does it even really matter and b) we've undoubtedly got plenty of fans who definitely would say stuff like that, even if they haven't in this particular instance.

Ladies (or gents) out there - please, please, don't fight your other halves corner. If he/she is in the spotlight as an accomplished individual - sporting or otherwise - it simply demeans your better half as a person. They can and should be capable of fighting their own battles. And it just leaves both of you - and your families - open to ridicule and the abhorrent behaviour of an extremely small-minded minority of individuals who lead a shallow and introspective existence.
