2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Gone in my eyes. Wish him well but we need to move on because his injury history these past few seasons makes him more a liability than an asset. And even when he has had a decent run of games he still consistently fires blanks when he should be scoring.

….i’m sure he’d consider he has very much succeeded at Everton. Came here for £1m as an unknown, a number of big bucks contracts, a full England international and set to leave on a lucrative Bosman. Not a bad old life & good luck to the lad.
You've read GOT eggs, to succeed he's got to basically be Dean, Lineker, Lukaku, Sharpe, Gray, Latchford etc all in one.

Probably best for all that he moves on.

Like many i really wanted Dom to succeed, but it's looked less and less likely at Everton. Would we regret it? I'd guess not.
For all Beto's faults and limitations, I have felt more confident with him leading the line than with Dom. The new manager and football style may help here.

However, I've given him a lot of leeway over the years, so got to go with what my heart and mind are telling me.

I think we would be very, very foolish to even consider retaining him beyond this season.

His injury record is shocking and you cant build a team with such a record.

As for where he goes next, hard to say and honestly, I dont really care.

Just hopefully we can replace him with a better option, but for me, when fit, hes very good.

moyes won’t keep him he will want fit ready players… unless he’s not wanted elsewhere

I don't think he will play for us again now, if he is 3 weeks away from being fit, that's the first week of May, by then there will be 4 games left and I cant see him wanting to play, risk getting injured and miss out on a big contract somewhere else. I would rather we prioritise playing; Beto, Chermitti and Broja anyway, we are not in a position where we need him to play, thankfully.
