Because it clearly wasn't his fault mate. Beto stayed on the last man and took the defender out of the game. He didn't get any service and as a result he didn't get any chances. Not rocket science
The service Beto seems to require doesn’t typically exist against PL squads, unless we’re playing the Faes and Vestergaard Pulmbing Company.

We shall see. Small sample size. Today changed nothing for me because of the circumstances. And he really didn't do that much wrong and he got a bit more involved in hold up play which is a sign that he is at least improving there. I know for a fact that Dom would not have changed much here if Tarks gave away two goals in the first half. It happens, we move on.

IF Dom was on the pitch we aint peeing about playing pat a cake at the back, we are launching it high to his lovely chiselled head.

You saw the same tho, right?

Nobody has posted in the Beto thread since the game ended.
I think DCL hold up play is over egged by our fans, its nothing special.

'When' he is on his game then its very good but like ive said many times, these 'on his game' days are very few and far between. (Lucky if we get 3-4 a season)

Also with DCL upfront i think the easy hoof ball is too tempting, for me he offers very little most games.

Either way DCL or Beto arent the answer to get us operating in the top half again.

In the summer i would send Broja back (Dont rate him that much plus his injury record)
Sell Beto
Wave goodbye to DCL

I guess I’m the opposite, the two goals haven’t changed my opinion. At the end it doesn’t matter because he’s going to get all of the playing time for the foreseeable future.

I think you are reaching by blaming the striker in this one. Once Doucore came off we created multiple chances that almost came off and Beto did what he was asked to do. We all know the obvious problem and Moyes needs to fix it at the position directly behind him. No amount of keepy uppies and backwards passes and aimless runs down the sideline would have changed this result.

Whoooa, im not blaming the Striker, he didnt get any service today, I just felt like we lacked an outlet, every time the ball went near Beto and Doucs today it entered a vortex of anti-football.

As I said in the Beto thread, we go again on Wednesday, hopefully we can supply some ammo to our number 9.

That's fair. I don't think he was atrocious but that is obviously not his strength and he needs to improve a lot of aspects of his game. I would like to see him more comfortable checking back and hitting a through ball or an outlet pass. He does look a bit clumsy like Rom did in those moments

So many players switched their brains off in that first half.

Its like they smoked a fat 1 before the game, Bournemouths press was impressive and for some reason we were scared to go long, probably cos the times we did the balls were horrific.

Part of me died today when we stuck Keane up top, I actually vommitted in my mouth, we need Chermo, Broja or Dom back, STAT, not cos of Beto, cos of options.
