Nice finish...then terrible finishing for the rest of the game...and that moment at 3-1 when he 💩 out of a challenge with the GK was embarrassing.
Think most on here would think it's good to see an instant improvement from the Dyche DCL to the Moyes DCL, while appreciating that it needs to be seen in more than one game.

But to condemn him for not clattering into their keeper in a 30:70 challenge at best is agenda desperation at its best.

Really pleased for him today. Such a quality goal.

He tends to find streaks of goalscoring form - so, like every time he scores after a barren run, I’m hoping this marks the start of a streak.

Proper nuisance no.9 today, held the ball up well, ran the channels, sniffed out positions in the box.

His finishing is still pretty woeful and he looks frightened to death in front of goal

Easy to forget that no striker puts them all away. Look at Watkins at Villa, he misses plenty of guilt edged chances but he keeps going and his tirelessness is a real asset to the team and he eventually gets his goals.

DCLs ratios are worse than most, but more chances we create for him, better he'll get

It’s a win-win really. If he continues to improve under Moyes’ system, we rise up the table. If he stays at the end of the season, then we have an improved striker. If not, he’s driving up his fee. So all good.

Absolutely shocked he scored the kind of goal he did today. Fair play and hopefully we'll see some more before the end of the season.
