Slightly off topic, but the thought of letting antee Robinson,Gordon,lookman,and tom cannon and Simms go is gut wrenching.

Of those I think Antonee Robinson is the only one that really got away.
Neither Cannon or Simms has as yet shown that they are premiership standard and Gordon wanted to leave and forced through the move.

Footballers take pay cuts all the time.

Also if he takes a 10 grand a week pay cut, it would take 6 years to notice it because of a say......£3million signing fee.

Unless he's off to Saudi he almost certainly will not get the EFC contract money elsewhere. Plus he's not
very good and not a top-half of the League centre-forward. A number two certainly.

I hope EFC withdraw the offer at Xmas and see if he comes back begging.

I guess you don't rate any of them at all and they wouldn't start for anyone either ?

I’d honestly take every single one of those named over him. I really don’t see what he offers and he frustrates the life out me every game. I’d be amazed if he’s higher than sixth highest scorer out of that bunch come the end of the season.

Stat & Stats - the main factor is we now play Hoof ball - under Ancelotti he had a playmaker & scored his goals from crosses & in the box - he did that well in that era he got called up for England -

DCL has never been a clinical one on one goalscorer - but ATM he is the best CF on the books - do you really want Beto ploughing a furrow up there - He can't score or trap a bag of cement ....... Broja if fit may do better, but his fitness record is worse than DCLs ?

Create what - that first half performance on Saturday is hopefully as bad as it gets - It was only when he dropped Doucs further back & put McNeil in as a proper no 10 we had 20 minutes of football & scored 2 very good goals - DCL got 6 out of ten - average for most of that performance bar two players -
Continually griping about him on this thread - sorry we have no one better ATM - & any CF will struggle in Dyches set up - Doucs should not be playing .... go & moan on his thread .....

I’d wager Chris Wood would be more prolific in this team than DCL.

I actually don't think the team puts in that many crosses into the box. Certainly not many of any real quality. Full backs reluctant and unable to cross consistently and McNeil the only one who can put in a decent cross from midfield but he is so one footed herself doesn't get as many crosses in as he should. Mykolenko put in 2 top quality crosses into the box v palace but that was a rarity.
