The club are really going to town on his “rehabilitation” which says to me that we will not be signing a striker this summer. Can read this club like a book.

Basically then decide everything next summer.

No club is bidding what this club will want for two seasons when he's hardly played. Key is to count on him without counting on him e.g. have a proper decent back up for him that will be ready to start 15-20 games and then assess things in 12 months.

I don't get why this is so hard to understand, he keeps being injured; no one buys him for anything worthwhile so we may as well keep him. He gets fit and contributes; he's a really good player who adds loads to the team so we keep him.
