I can count on 1 hand the amount of times that has happened this year with or without him on the pitch.

He proved under Ancelotti that, if he stays fit, there's a 15-20 league goals a season striker there. It's up to his team mates to supply him.

He needs to do more than stand still and wait for crosses to come in I’m afraid. He’s not been good enough for ages when he’s managed to drag himself onto the pitch.

He's rubbish as you say had a hot streak but doesn't use his physicality enough and not clever enough either.
Both fit Chris Wood would have contributed more in-fact Andy Caroll would he's not frightening enough for defenders to worry about.

His touch is terrible and his link up play near non existent.
