Sell him … rinse United for whatever we can get … much better prospects in the championship and lower leagues we could be developing

Telegraph Sport today mentions all Everton's injuries and ends up on a bright note. 'On the plus side, England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is edging closer to a start'.
Sounds like he will be available for the first game of next season in August.

DCL will be off in the summer. Why he would stay at this club is beyond me. Given our state, we will need the funds for a rebuild. This isn't controversial stuff. The key is we get a good price. In the meantime, if he does play now, can he please stop smirking when he misses sitters? I can accept a player missing a chance, even an easy one, but the smirking needs to stop - nervous tick or not. I want to see him beaming having netted.

Weird fans our lot.

DCL is not too good of a player for Everton, hes not even that good ffs.

Would be happy to sell Dunc Lite in the summer. He is vastly overrated. If we can 60-70m I would bite their hands off. We would then have the funds to rebuild, hopefully spent a lot more wisely this time

Exactly, his injury is a big part of why we’re in the mess we’re in.
Yet, people are advocating pushing for a sale and magically finding a new forward. DCL's not perfect - nobody is saying otherwise - but he offers us a lot.

We may struggle to keep him in the summer if he chooses to push for a new club, however that's a huge difference between facilitating his sale.

We'll miss him when he's gone

We will but he also has to score some of these good chances he's missed in those 3 or so games he had before he got injured again.

If he had slotted that penalty for instance perhaps we go on and win that game and everyone feels better about life, the clubs confidence is off the floor and the next games become easier. All players take some time to regain sharpness after a long lay off so I'm not going to beat him with a stick for it, however if he is a 1 in 2 forward (20 goals per season) he has to start finishing for us now. If he doesn't then it's harder to miss someone who has failed to deliver and therefore helped put us where we are now.
